J. Hudson Carpentry and Joinery is a small carpentry, joinery and general building firm based on the Essex/Suffolk border, mainly covering London, Essex and Suffolk although we have had a few projects further afield. Our work varies from simple putting up shelves or changing a lock to complete home renovations and extensions and nationwide contracts for major companies. We also undertake commercial and insurance work. We specialise in both modern and traditional woodworking, from roof framing to kitchen fitting. We are also experienced in general building work. As well as more general carpentry, we also offer a bespoke fine joinery service, ranging from that unique table you have always dreamt of to custom musical instruments. Where possible we try to use locally sourced, recycled or sustainable materials. Even timber offcuts are used for firewood so nothing goes to waste. This year saw the launch of our mobile timber milling service, enabling us to source specific timber for you, our customer.
