  • Bathroom Design Studio
    5
Coppice Gate, Harrogate, HG1 2DR, GB

Welcome to Bathroom Design Studio. I’m Jane and I bring you over 25 years of specialist Bathroom Design expertise. Whether you need inspiration and guidance with your whole project, or are on the hunt for the perfect pieces – Whatever you are looking for, I’d love to help! We went into Bathroom Design and was instantly impressed with the range of products on display to inspire us. Jane then sat down with us at her computer and designed our en-suite bathroom in front of us. Her product knowledge was excellent. When we explained what type of cabinet we wanted she knew straight away which brochures to go to. Jane offered us choices in style and price brackets! The en-suite was designed with impeccable detail, down to how the tiles would be lined up and the height of the cabinet to offset the feature basin. When the products arrived and after using them we are really pleased with the quality. We didn’t like the towel ring that we had ordered and there was no hassle exchanging it for another one. We would definitely recommend using Bathroom Design. We are so pleased with ours that every time we use it we feel like we are living in a hotel. We needed to replace our bathroom but were struggling to get to a design that was both sensitive to the period of our cottage but also modern and practical for us to use! We engaged Jane at the Bathroom Design Studio to help us and she came up with a design that delighted us as it totally met our brief. Having a scaled visual picture to work with was so helpful in helping us ensure the result would be perfect. We used our own fitter for the installation and Jane worked with him throughout the project to ensure there were no issues. The result is amazing, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Everyone who sees our new bathroom just say Wow – enough said!! After visiting a fancy hotel in London and falling in love with the bathroom we described our dream to Jane. What she designed and ended up with was better than we imagined. Her design incorporated everything we wanted and more. We thought we were restricted in in the design until we saw that Jane cane up with. A great bathroom designer and her interior design knowledge came in handy when we were choosing tiles. Thank you, Jane and DamonAlex McLeod Jane was incredible in helping us modify our existing bathrooms, keeping in mind the existing tilework in one of the bathrooms (that we wanted to keep) and the new tiling in another bathroom (that we wanted to match). She was always available when we had any questions and made 3D visualisations for us that looked exactly like the finished work! She was also mindful of our budget, helping us keep the costs down while retaining a high-end look. We couldn’t be happier with our new bathrooms! We visited the Bathroom Store on a recommendation from a friend, we were not disappointed. We live in a cottage with very quirky features, some of which we wanted to retain. Jane came out and did a full survey and came up with what essentially was our dream bathroom and just what we wanted. She recommended a great plumber, and the result was even better than anticipated. I can’t thank Jane and her team enough for their time, patience and understanding during all aspects of the 5-week conversion. Everything went to plan and when little bumps hit in the road they were all addressed and dealt with in a speedy and professional fashion. I can’t recommend Bathroom De

What is the most expensive part of kitchen remodel?

The most expensive aspect of a kitchen remodel is typically the cabinets. High-quality cabinets can account for up to 30% or more of the total kitchen renovation budget. Other costly elements include:
  • Countertops, particularly if you choose premium materials like granite or quartz
  • Major appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers
  • Flooring, especially if you opt for hardwood or high-end tile
  • Electrical and plumbing work, if the layout is being reconfigured
  • Labor costs for skilled tradespeople like contractors, electricians, and plumbers
While cabinets are often the biggest investment, it's important to allocate your budget wisely across all aspects of the kitchen remodel to achieve the desired functionality, aesthetic, and overall value for your home.

When renovating kitchen what to do first?

When embarking on a kitchen renovation, it's essential to follow a systematic approach to ensure a smooth and successful process. Here are the recommended steps to take first:
  1. Plan and set a budget: Determine your goals, desired features, and realistic budget for the kitchen remodel.
  2. Hire professionals: Engage licensed and experienced contractors, designers, and architects to help with the planning and execution.
  3. Obtain necessary permits: Apply for and secure the required permits from your local building department.
  4. Create a temporary kitchen: Set up a temporary cooking and dining area to minimize disruption during the renovation.
  5. Prepare the space: Clear out the existing kitchen, remove appliances, cabinets, and fixtures, and protect other areas from dust and debris.
  6. Address structural changes: If reconfiguring the layout, start with any necessary structural modifications, such as removing or adding walls.
  7. Rough-in utilities: Ensure proper placement and installation of electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems.
By following this order, you will lay a solid foundation for the rest of the kitchen renovation process, minimizing delays and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
