WoodHouse Construction Sussex Ltd is the evolution of a long established, second generation construction, joinery & carpentry business. Originally founded by Steve Hammerton, for 40 years the business has built a strong reputation in Sussex & Surrey. Woodhouse is a family oriented business, with a core belief in maintaining tradition & heritage whilst still embracing new technologies.  As well as working on domestic projects we have, historically, worked closely with English Heritage to restore, preserve and in some cases modernise public buildings of historical interest. This Comprehensive knowledge enables us to offer a full build & finish from concept & planning to completion.We aim to provide a bespoke product that fits around you, reflecting your personality, needs, & budget but that is also sympathetic to the character of the building.

Conception

It begins with your idea. Creating something new or restore & renovate an existing building to help make it more energy efficient & ergonomic.We are always happy to become involved in your project at the very begining. Often this helps customers to consider new opportunities before an architect is appointed.

Build

It is important to us that the building process works around our clients. When possible we like to phase a project to minimise disruption to your day-to-day living areas. As well as our own staff we have a team of trusted subcontractors we call upon, from specialist roofers to joinery workshops who produce our bespoke wooden doors and windows & skilled plasterers and decorators.

Final Finish

The finish of your project has to be right. We take great pride, in not just the structural integrity of our work, but also the aesthetic finish. From bespoke joinery to the quality of the plaster work these are the end details that make a space belong to you.

Located on the West Sussex, Surrey border we work predominantly between the South and North Downs in the South East of England. However we have customers in West London, Kent & Hampshire & will consider projects further afield.
