D Evans Plant Training is an independent training provider specializing in the Construction and Industrial Industry. The company was created to provide a training service to individuals wishing to further their skill set or update their previous knowledge, whether this is to secure employment, gain promotion or enter employment. We also work closely with construction firms to identify the training needs of their employees, providing a bespoke service. We believe the need to upskill workers in this sector is important in driving economic growth locally and throughout Wales. Our centre is based primarily at Hirwaun Industrial Estate. Due to our location on the edge of RCT we have close links to the Heads of the Valley Road and the A465. Both Merthyr and Neath are in proximity and therefore we have a wider geographical area to covered. The Centre is registered with NPORS as an approved training company and with the SQA as an approved NVQ Centre. We have undertaken a consultation with our local Merthyr College to understand what type of demand is needed from a training centre. The college have secured Welsh Government funding to upskill students and provide us with a lot of our current trainees. We provide then with the skills they need to Increase their employability and increase their earning potential. We have Built up a strong customer base and ensure we contract manage these to obtain high levels of repeat business. We have received lots of positive feedback around our services. While servicing Wales is our priority, we also receive requests from other parts of the UK and are happy to travel to alternative places of work.
