Remodeling Gloucestershire

Pauline and I both feel it is necessary to drop the three of you a little note to say that we are very pleased with our very new and impressive showroom and in no way would this have been possible without our being introduced to Root and in no way would this have been possible without our being introduced to Root and in turn your ability to step up. In particular we believe a big thank you to Joe for his conscientious approach to our project is warranted. Equally, we are both looking forward to the relationship growing between us in many ways in the future.

It's actually taken a few months to write this review as I couldn't quite find the words to say how wonderful this company is. Root built a 3m x 8m kitchen extension with bifold doors on the back of our house earlier this year and it's utterly stunning. They employ friendly, hardworking people who were fantastic with our little boy. The work was completed quickly and they were able to start exactly when we wanted them to. They knew our budget and helped us to plan a room we would love but without pushing ourselves too far financially. They worked very long days, starting before I even woke up and frequently working until they ran out of light. These guys worked through snow and rain to build us an absolutely amazing space. They totally transformed our house. Unfortunately we had a not pleasant experience with some plumbers during the works, but Sam and Michael were able to help us rectify this. I found myself quite sad on their last day, the house is stunning but they were all so lovely it was fun having them around. We have a few snagging bits (totally expected) and I'm really looking forward to seeing them again. For some reason they only employ people called Steve or Laurence, which makes remembering everyone's names a lot easier! I highly recommend them, book them and you won't regret it - but stock up on good tea/coffee and biscuits, as these guys work bloody hard and deserve it!

The tiler who came was very professional and had an incredible eye for detail. The job took a little longer than expected but this was due to all of the bathroom hardware already being in place (the house was a new build), making cutting the tiles slightly more challenging. But I was very impressed with his effort to make each tile fit as well as possible and didn't cut corners by using grouting to fill in gaps from irregular tile placement.

Absolutely fantastic experience with these guys. From planning to the fixtures and fixings, Sam and his team were an absolute God send. I strongly recommend everyone to use these guys...if you want honest, competitive and professional builders then these are the guys to call. Again thank you Sam for our new double storey extension.

Sam and his team delivered a significant and complex refurbishment of our Victorian house in Cheltenham. The work ranged from a complete replacement of our heating system, re-wiring throughout the house, insulation of our roof along with the replacement of our Victorian tiled hallway and the creation of a new basement exit. During the project Sam's team responded quickly and effectively to changes and upgrades to our requirements in a flexible and creative way - managing several sub-contractors on our behalf throughout the project. The quality of work carried out on our house is of a high standard and we are grateful to Sam and the Root Group for completing the project on time and to our requirements.
